I was looking for someone to tailor a dress that I loved but just didn't fit right whatsoever. Matt was super quick to respond to my inquiry and came to me when it worked for my busy schedule. We did the fitting right in my apartment and it was super professional and easy. What I really loved is Matt took the time to see how the piece was fitting me, he pointed out how one of my shoulders was lower than the other and why that affected how the straps were fitting and how the front was falling. That made it so clear to me that he was going to have the dress tailored to fit me, rather than trying to fit me into the dress. I felt so comfortable leaving my dress in his hands knowing I wanted to wear it to a wedding in a couple short weeks and he certainly delivered an amazing product! The dress fits perfectly, and he had it back to me 5 or 6 days before the wedding so I could try it, style it, etc. without being stressed about how soon the event was. I'm definitely looking forward to using Bard's in the future for tailoring services.

I had Matthew come over for a wardrobe consultation. I was hoping to get a better idea of how to dress for different occasions and some tips on what works best/worst and what I should focus on buying when adding to my wardrobe. I got that and SO MUCH MORE. I learned about how I'm perceived when I'm dressing in different ways and how to use my wardrobe to help tell my story. I learned how to make different clients more comfortable before even interacting with them by aligning my appearance with my personality. I learned about myself and in discussions about my professional and life goals (yes that is part of the wardrobe consultation) I was able to have more clarity about who I am and what story I'm trying to tell. I can't recommend someone more for custom clothing and to help understand how much fashion plays a role in your life, regardless of your previous conceptions or understanding.

The quality of both the clothing and service at Bards is truly unmatched! Matt helped me find the perfect suit for my wedding and I could not have been more impressed by my custom suit. Perhaps more importantly, his advice throughout the process was invaluable! We unfortunately ran into a few issues because of COVID-19, but Matt went WAY above and beyond to make sure everything was resolved and I had everything I needed for my wedding day. Thank you Matt!

I just received a pair of knit pants from Bard's new collection and I couldn't be happier. These are truly one of the best pairs of pants I've ever owned - they fit perfectly and the material is buttery soft. Not only do I feel great in these pants, I also feel amazing knowing I invested in a local business that hand makes their garments in America. 100% recommend!
